A few years ago I created a list of the most common mistakes I believe women make when preparing for a Boudoir Session…or when preparing to even consider the possibility of a Boudoir Session. I will break down all seven points into a series of blog posts in order to shed light onto some of the fear that may surround the idea of experiencing a photo shoot of your very own. 3. SOME WOMEN FEEL LIKE THEY NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT BEFORE THEIR PHOTO SHOOT
This is a biggie. Look ladies, I get it. After watching my body morph multiple times as a Mother of three children, my body and perception of it will never be the same. I will never rock my pre-baby small frame again, but you know what? I’m okay with that! I have grown to not only embrace my curves, but to love them. Curves are beautiful! However, if this is a concern of yours, then this is where an experienced photographer will step in and lead the way. She/he should know how to make you look your very best through the use of lighting, posing and wardrobe. After all, the ultimate goal here is to show you how amazingly beautiful you are right now, just as you are.
“Jesseca and her Hair/Makeup Artist were professional, they were encouraging, fun, and poured love into the studio. Without their attitude and love for what they do, I would have been very shy and most likely that would have shown through in my pictures. However, they made me feel beautiful from the moment I walked in the door. So much so, that I still feel the confidence they gave me from that day… Thank you for that!!!
I’m a big girl but they made sure I felt like a model/ goddess. My hair was perfect and my makeup was subtle (as I wanted), so MY features were what was photographed, not the makeup. Jesseca is encouraging, patient, laid back, confident in her work, and very professional! She really knows how to pose and use lighting to benefit the client’s features and curves (I have a lot of curves).
After the session I was able to review and choose my pictures, which was hard. However, my end product is absolutely beautiful! The book is perfect and I even purchased a picture for the wall… I decided to do this for my 20th wedding anniversary as a gift for my hubby. Also, I turn 40 this year, I’m a Mom and a nurse as well. So I did this for myself as well.
I have zero regrets and somehow I have found confidence in myself that I haven’t had in a very long time. Thank you Jesseca for your beautiful talent!
If anyone is considering doing a Boudoir shoot and you have doubts…then Jesseca Bellemare photography is for you. Her and her staff are wonderful, beautiful, friendly, confident, talented, and overall has an eye for beauty. She will bring out your confidence, she will bring the fun, and she will not disappoint!! I couldn’t be happier with my photos and the confidence the shoot has given me!”
