Well Hello there, Beautiful!
My name is Jesseca and I had a deeply rooted story about what kind of love I was worthy of, especially self love.
I struggled with self confidence and insecurities for most of my life and consequently, I have been on a journey of self discovery, understanding and acceptance for as long as I can remember.EARLY IN MY CAREER I COMMITTED TO CREATING A SERIES OF SELF PORTRAITS. AND THIS, GIRLFRIEND, IS WHEN EVERYTHING CHANGED.
As I studied my self portraiture, the initial picking apart of my “flaws” transformed into something else: I began to become curious about my unique features. Through this curiosity, I began to see the beauty in my uniqueness and I finally saw how all of my individual pieces fit into one perfectly imperfect and absolutely beautiful whole.
This very personal project will forever be held within my heart because it truly changed the way I see myself.
THEREFORE, MY WISH IS TO PHOTOGRAPH ANY WOMAN WHO HAS EVER LOOKED IN THE MIRROR AND SAW HER FLAWS INSTEAD OF HER BEAUTY BECAUSE I HAVE A BURNING DESIRE TO HELP WOMEN CHANGE THEIR INNER STORIES INTO ONES WITH BEAUTIFUL ENDINGS.
