I’m super excited to introduce all of you to one of my favorite people, Catherine Beck, Registered Dietitian and the brains and beauty behind Nutrition Uprooted. After a few meet ups to discuss business and life, we came together for a branding photo shoot that aimed to create a well round representation of her business as well as her passions for food and fitness. A bit more about this focused female entrepreneur:
After completing her Bachelors in Food and Nutrition and Masters in Exercise Physiology at the University of Georgia, Catherine relocated to North Carolina to complete an additional year of dietetics experiences and obtain licensure as a registered dietitian. Catherine offers individualized nutrition consultations in-person in Asheville, NC as well as virtually via phone. She has experience working with collegiate athletes, weekend warriors, as well as individuals struggling with various chronic health conditions including diabetes, heart disease, and food sensitivities.
Catherine currently works as a consultant dietitian in corporate wellness, a part-time clinical dietitian, and as the dietitian at an substance abuse and addiction recovery center. Catherine has a passion for working with those struggling with disordered eating and eating disorders. She is involved in a weekly support group at THE Center for Eating Disorders in western North Carolina and finds joy in helping others on their journey towards a healthy relationship with food and their bodies.
As a dietitian, Catherine’s goal is to empower people to bring their overall health, athletic, and/or sports performance to the next level. She takes an individualized, food-first approach to nutrition focusing on balance, enjoyment, and sustainability. She works to equip individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to enjoy food while reaching a variety of lifestyle and fitness goals.
