I’d like to pose a few of questions for all of you adult women to think about. First, how many pictures do you have of your Mother? Second, how many pictures do you have of you and your Mother? And lastly, how many generational pictures do you have? Well, if you are anything like me, the answers to those questions are quite sad and regretful. Mom is typically the one taking all of those awesome snap shots – which is great! But really, it’s so important to get in front of the camera too. You can bet that my kids will have a plethora of pictures of me as well as all of us together. I’ve learned my lesson.
In light of Mother’s Day approaching I want you to consider giving the gift of time, fun, memories and photographs. Gather up your Mom, Grandmother, Sister(s) and Daughter(s) for a mini makeover and photo shoot, complete with champagne and chocolate. If your Mother or Grandmother is unable to participate, then make it a Mother & Daughter day or a Sisterly day. If you don’t have a Daughter or Sister, grab your best friend(s). I just want to see all of you celebrate your close female relationships in a unique and memorable way. And honestly, our parents still want gorgeous portraits of us no matter what age we are. Trust me on this one. I see it all the time.
Please just keep in mind that if you plan on giving printed gifts for Mother’s Day, your session needs to be held by April 20th.
