WHAT DO YOU DO? I’m a commercial real estate broker in Atlanta, specializing in green buildings and industrial.
WHAT IS YOUR COMPANY’S MISSION STATEMENT? I have a “triple I” bottom line approach I employ with my business: Integrity/Intelligence/Insight.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START YOUR BUSINESS? Prior to working in real estate, I was in the environmental and energy policy energy field for 12 years and then had a huge life and career shift. Since then, I’ve been able to combine all the abilities and skills I gained over the years, quickly growing my business and discovering a whole new side to my professional self. I moved from residential to commercial because it gave me a wonderful challenge to overcome the outdated idea that it’s a field that only men work and thrive in. It also gives me the ability to make change on an even greater scale by combining green building into my offerings; Atlanta has the 2nd highest number of green buildings of any city in the country and with my previous background, combined with certifications in LEED and CCIM, I’ll be one of the few commercial brokers in the state, and even the southeast, with this level of specialization and expertise.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU PERSONALLY? I’m inspired when I help others. I’m so fortunate that I’m in a line of work that provides me with the resources to help my friends, family and community now. I never thought I’d be in a position to give back at this level and each day I wake up motivated by the fact that it’s bigger than me.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO WHEN YOU ARE NOT WORKING?I’m a huge traveler and adventurer. I just completed countries 15 and 16 solo. I have a top 10 list of places to go and I am marking one off each year. I’m also spend a lot of time hiking and hanging out with my pup, Charlie.
