I have a deep admiration and respect for each and every one of the gorgeous women who have walked into the studio. But, after my own recent Boudoir shoot I now understand exactly what they have experienced: the build up of excitement, anticipation and fear, the games our egos play, the vulnerability and what ifs; and conversely, the relief, pride and joy. Anyone who has ever stepped foot in front of a camera must understand this process of emotions; it has only taken me five years, but I can honestly say that I now completely get it.
Of course I had always wanted to have my own Boudoir shoot, but quite honestly, I have made three babies and therefore have my own body issues – I wasn’t about to let just anyone photograph me. I have admired the creative, classy and gorgeous wedding and children’s photography of Katy Cook for quite some time and after being Facebook friends for months finally had the chance to meet her when she stopped by our booth at The Wedding Festival. Katy’s big smile and friendly demeanor instantly resonated with me and when she contacted me shortly after to inquire about her own Boudoir shoot, I knew I wanted her to photograph me as well. Long story short, we clicked, we rocked it and I am so glad that I had the courage to get into my skimpies in front of her.
Now, while I am definitely the woman who does not want any of her images publicized, I feel that it would be doing my brave clients a disservice not to share…plus, this post just has to have a little bit of color… 😉 xoxoxo
You are beautiful…let us show you.
