So you’ve heard the term Boudoir Photography tossed around, but what is it? Who is it for? And seriously, how do you actually pronounce that word?
Boudoir:/ˈbo͞oˌdwär/ “is a lady’s private bedroom, sitting room or dressing room. The term derives from the French verb bouder, meaning “to be sulky” or boudeur, meaning “sulky”…The most common manifestation of contemporary boudoir photography is to take variations of candid and posed photographs of the subject partly clothed or in lingerie. Nudity is more often implied than explicit.” – Wikipedia
So there are the technicalities of Boudoir Photography, but I think there is so much more to it than that…
I strive to create images that are not only beautiful and seductive, but also soft, dreamy, subtle, soulful, confident and ultra feminine. I want to draw out the inner beauty and sexiness that lives in all women because I believe that this is something we are born with. Even if it’s been forgotten about, covered up or trampled on, it’s there. I know this to be true because I see it over and over and over again in every woman that walks through my door. All ages, all sizes…it’s there. And I am absolutely committed to helping women find it, feel it and most importantly, own it.
You are beautiful…let me show you.
