First of all, a big fat huge THANK YOU to all of the beautiful and brave women who reached out with interest in my recent shout out for the leading role in my 2019 promo video. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve created the last video for my business, so I’m incredibly excited about this project.

After reading through so many stories, mulling over my own thoughts, emotions and ultimately the message I want to portray through this endeavor, one woman stood out to me. I simply couldn’t shake my gut feeling that this particular human being not only deserves all of the perks of this project including the complimentary Boudoir Session with professional hair + make up by Jessica Hensley of Pop of Color, 25 high resolution digital images and a $100 gift coupon to Beyond Boudoir Lingerie to purchase wardrobe for the shoot, but her story is highly inspirational and one that I feel so many other women will connect with.

Adam + Candice | Asheville Headshot + Couples Session

This beautiful couple came into the studio looking to update their headshots for their individual businesses then had the great idea of adding in a short and sweet couples session, and I am so happy they did. Adam and Candice met in 2001 and were friends for several years before dating. They ran two successful companies together in Florida before moving to North Carolina where the now live on a 10-acre farm with their nine four-legged children. 

Candice Carr has been practicing law for 14 years and now act as In-House Counsel for a real estate developer. As a horse lover and owner, she is also currently pursuing her passion and working on a course to help owners transition their horses to a more natural, balanced diet.

Adam Ouellette helps current and new small business owners open and grow their businesses. He was a practicing attorney for 20 years and consults with attorneys on a variety of business topics. He is also a published author. Learn more about Adam at AdamOuellette.com.

Emily has such an outstanding design sense with a focus on modern minimalism and a super relaxed, laid back personality. Working with her was truly satisfying. WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START YOUR BUSINESS? I started my business because I am passionate about living life simply and minimally in a way that facilitates the things you really love. I saw many wasteful and inefficient practices in the larger firms that I worked for and was often left feeling overworked but unfulfilled by my role. By starting a boutique design firm that is based on personal service and authentic relationships I am able to work in a way that is most engaging, efficient, and satisfying for myself and my clients. I believe the simplest solution is often the best and look for that in all that I do.

HOW DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO? WHAT MAKES THE WAY YOU ACHIEVE RESULTS INTERESTING OR UNIQUE? I refer to myself as a visionary designer. Based on what I experience with clients in their space, I ask questions that pertain to the project and listen carefully to all they tell me. I am often able to envision a completed space before I leave the initial consultation. I then develop my vision for them into a real space and work with them to make sure the space will serve them in the best way possible.

WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE CLIENT SUCCESS STORIES? I am very proud of the work I have done with the owners of Biscuithead. They are local business owners who are passionate about what they do, and I have been so fortunate to be able to manifest their passion into a space that embodies their ideals and gives a wonderful experience, both visually and functionally, to their customers. We have developed a great rapport and I look forward to working on more project with them in the future.

WHEN DO YOU FEEL MOST BEAUTIFUL?
I feel most beautiful in the summer, after a good workout, or in a place that I love. Also when I am dressed in things that flatter me, good (minimal) make up, and shiny, healthy hair 🙂
